Who you ask? Exactly. First off, The Snowgoons are not rappers. They don't sing (or at least as far as we can tell here at Stereogasm) either. So what do they do? The are a production team out of Germany consisting of 3 DJs (Det, DJ Illegal and DJ Waxwork). They have released 3 albums to date under the name, The Snowgoons, using multiple underground and relatively unknown rappers. When most people think of hip-hop producers, the names Timbaland, Pharrell and Swizz Beatz are some of the more common ones you would think of. Each producer tends to have a kind of signature sound about them, so that no matter who the artist, you can almost tell who produced it by the beats or instruments or even by the tempo of the song. The Snowgoons are really no exception from the half dozen or so cuts that I have heard so far. If you like a dramatic, or operatic feel to your music then you are gonna love these guys. I personally fall into this category as I like the anthemic feel to the music. Also good to run too.
